Hi! My name is Marlene Ayala, I'm from Sacramento, CA but I've been in Arizona all my life! My true inspiration came from my late mother, who was a stylist herself. She was my biggest cheerleader and encouraged me to use my creative spirit by enrolling me in a cosmetology program in high school, where I soon found my passion for makeup. At 18, I began freelancing and was offered to work in New York City! I worked as a stylist with different artists around the country & this opportunity opened the door for me to work with photographers, makeup artists, companies, and brides.

After some time, I became a Sephora Beauty advisor, learned all about product knowledge, and fell more in love with the beauty industry. I then decided to follow my love for makeup and start Marlene Artistry as a full time makeup artist!
